  1. Beautiful, sweet cat! I love the two arches on her forehead. She looks as if she gives happiness just by being alive – and she knows it. Have a lovely weekend, Elina. πŸ™‚

  2. What a great shot Elina πŸ™‚ Was she mad at you afterwards that you made her pose for this image ? Oh what it would be like to have the life of a cat or dog that we would own, LOL. Maybe in the next life :). Have a great evening.

    1. She didn’t need to pose at all this is the way she lies around most of the time. πŸ™‚ And usually she doesn’t mind the sound of the shutter next to her ears. Ah yes… I’ve wondered many times what it would be like to just rest and take it easy every day all day long. But I think I would actually get bored quite quickly. πŸ™‚ Have a great day Joe!

    1. A treasure, that’s a wonderful thing to say! I guess she is our sweet fluffy treasure. πŸ™‚ Thank you Draco and have a great weekend yourself!

  3. Oh man, I love this photo. This felt like me today…while I had to run around HK all day, I was just so mellow and relaxed ~ I think the same mind as your cat today. Enjoy the weekend!

    1. I agree Stacy. Pets become such important and dear members of the family. Thank you for your kind words! It’s so lovely to hear your heart smile. πŸ™‚

  4. This is really beautiful Elina!β™₯ It’s lovely to see photographers today taking so many unusual pictures of animals, in the sense that they are no longer just the straight forward, quite dull portrait. I remember trying to take some good pictures of our family dog, she was jet black and didn’t always come out looking so good on a lot of photographs. Her fur colour absorbed all the light and she came out looking more like a silhouette of a dog! I got the light right one day and achieved some pretty good pictures. But never thought of taking pictures like your one here, I think it would have helped because she used to get all self concious when you got a camera out, not sure why, I’m sure she didn’t know what it was! So getting her relaxed was a real challenge, she tended to put her floppy ears flat down which made her look ridiculous. Anyway, a good result was achieved in the end, but I wished I’d taken a lot more.
Your cat looks very relaxed having her portrait taken, and such pretty eyes too. I hope you showed her the final result!! πŸ˜‰

    1. You are right these days photographers are allowed and even encouraged to be much more creative than some time ago. Maybe one reason for it is that now it is much easier to take photos so you can (and want) to take it to the next level and get more creative and experimental. I can imagine taking photos of your dog might have been quite challenging. And I am sure your photos came out wonderful. πŸ™‚ I’m lucky my cat doesn’t mind the camera. I’ll still need to show her the photo. πŸ™‚ Thank you Suzy!
