Shoot What it Feels Like

“Don’t shoot what it looks like. Shoot what it feels like.” – David Alan Harvey

I think that’s a lovely thought. I also think photography can be seen as a form of art, a way of expressing yourself. It doesn’t always need to document reality so precisely.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

I love that, Elina, and will remember it next time I go for a walk with my camera! Thank you for sharing. Beautiful photograph

    1. Me neither, or at least I think I cannot draw or paint. πŸ™‚ They say once you start you can learn it. I’d like to try one day. πŸ™‚ Thank you and have a wonderful weekend!

    1. When I was ready with this photo I looked at it and you came to my mind. πŸ™‚ I really like the quote also. Thank you for your kind words Robyn! πŸ™‚

  2. And you are an artist, Elina. You capture the feeling of life, be it plants, nature, a snail, or people in the city living their every day. Thanks for posting, as always. Have the best weekend. πŸ™‚

    1. What a lovely comment! πŸ™‚ Thank you Aldous for your continuous support and kind words, I truly appreciate it! Have a wonderful weekend! πŸ™‚

  3. Never thought about that before, but now that I have read that quote it’s how I try to shoot every time I go out with the camera. I try to capture something that gives the feeling of how it is at different points in my walk. I also shoot to try and create art, not reality. I think I’m getting better at processing and hope I continue to progress to make my photography feel more like art.

    Great shot! πŸ™‚
