Ice Fishing

icefishing

A week ago I saw these two fishermen out at the sea and was admiring their courage since the ice had already started to melt. I suppose they know the sea and sense whether the ice can still carry them or not. A serene view I thought, and something so meditative about fishing.

Hi Elina. It seems that it’s been awhile since I’ve seen a post from you … then again, I’ve had a little less time on WP lately.
I like the contrast between the chaos of the broken ice and the serenity of the two men hanging out on the ice.

    1. Hi Laurie! It’s true my activity here on WP has slowed down quite a bit ever since I returned to work life in January. I’m sure you are very busy too with your work and campaign. Thank you for your kind words and have a wonderful weekend! 🙂

  2. Nice shot, Elina. I’ll assume you had the common sense to stay on solid land.
I was wondering why I hadn’t seen any posts from you for a while, but I see from above that you’ve returned to work. Don’t forget to stop and smell the roses occasionally. 🙂

    1. I did stay on solid sand. 🙂 Those fishermen are so courageous.

It’s true, I did return to work and life’s been a bit busier than before, but I do enjoy everything I do. 🙂 And I’m still smelling the roses. 🙂

Thank you Draco for visiting and all your comments! I’m glad you are back here on WP. I visited your blog some time ago but from comments I found out you were still on holiday doing your taxes. 🙂 🙂

      1. Yes, I leave everything to the last minute, and then when the deadline arrives, I have to stop doing everything else to avoid a fate worse than death. 🙂
